Show and Tell



Carol B  has been working on a challenge from "Stacey's at the Gap" She had to choose a card and represent this in a quilt. hers was hearts . Carol has been making the trip from Brisbane to meet with us.. Thanks Carol love having you...   Carol is also heading the Quilts in the Paddock display on the 17th of October 2015.  We will be donating proceeds to "Chicks in Pink" for breast cancer.





Don't forget ladies this week we are making a 12 and a half inch square in pink of course to make this quilt.






Gail C has done a twister table topper.



In memory of

Last month Gail C bought along this beautiful quilt she made in honour of her brother who died  in Sarawak in 1965.  She will visit his grave there very soon and take her quilt. 

I think with all the events around the 100 years  ANZAC commemorations it has bought memory of every man , woman and child who has fought and died in any theatre of war to the fore. Lest we forget...

May 2015

Hi ladies its been a while since I have blogged .

Our AGM  was in March and our new president is myself ( Jenny Morris)
Gail Clark is the communication officer and Ros Phillips is the treasurer.

Last month we made some armchair caddies . Thanks to Jo W for running the workshop.












Thanks Jo ... what a great range and beautiful embroidery done by the ladies.


We are meeting on Sunday the 17th for our May meeting as well as going on our retreat to Staceys at the Gap on the 29,30& 31st of May. Its still not too late if you want to come along cost is $275 . But we would need to know by Sunday .


This Sunday we are making blocks for our Charity Quilt  for "Chics in Pink" we will raffle it and donate the proceeds toward their breast cancer cause. This group has assisted local ladies in their fight to recover from breast Cancer. 

There will be a Quilts in the Paddock Day on October 17th 2015 at 10.00am  at Lorelle Dillons on Cemetery Road. We are having a  display of our quilts and  raffling our charity quilt. 

In August we are planning a two day at home retreat at the Golden Age Centre  Goondiwindi.  We will be having a tutor.  She will be doing a range of blocks . I have included some photos . I think they are pretty cool. You can make runners, cushion covers or a quilt whatever you want.  You can also use your own fabric or order a kit.
